Here goes my review:

I didn't think I would get to see Take That this year. I was gutted when the tour dates were released and the last date was the 19th- the day of my flight home from Canada. It seemed I would miss the whole tour. But I got lucky, extra dates were added and I was just in time to grab a couple of seats for the 23rd at the MEN. Everyone wanted tickets for the 23rd as it was going to be the last show of the tour, but I didn't care if it was the last night or the first night; I had tickets and I would get to see them and that's all that mattered to me.

I have seen Take That 2 times before, once on the Ultimate Tour and once at the Diana concert. The date I saw on the 2006 tour is the gig that made me into a fan and there were only 3 songs sung at Wembley for the Diana concert, so this was to be my first proper concert as a Take That fan. On my flight home from Canada all I could think about was that I would have to get to bed as soon as I landed to get rid of the jet-lag- I didn't want anything to spoil the show. I needn't have worried, the show was perfect in every way.

I took the coach up to Manchester, listening to my iPod and looking forward to the show. I went along with my mom, who is not a fan at all but even she seemed to be looking forward to it. I was in block D row F and it was such a great view. Okay, so it's not front row- but it was great viewing for both stages. And I was the 3rd seat in on the row, so had good access when the walk-through happened Wink I had arrived at the arena way too early- I was just so excited that I was running ahead of myself. So as you can imagine, when I finally got in my seat and then had to sit through two support acts there were a few grumbles from me. No offense to the support acts, but I just wanted to see Take That. After ordering the tickets back in May and then having to sit on the other side of the world while the tour took place, it had been a long wait! We kept ourselves amused with Mexican waves and humming along to the music payed over the speakers and then the lights went down and it was time for Take That!

Reach Out was the perfect opening to the show. I loved the backdrop beforehand and really loved the politician theme. I had always loved Reach Out, but it will forever hold the memory of that buzz that went through my body when Take That came onstage. What can I say about It Only Takes A Minute and the pole dancing?? Words wont do it justice- it has to be seen in person to be appreciated fully Shocked Patience and Beautiful World just blew me away. Pateince is perfect live- Gary's voice never fails to blow me away, amaze me and just make me run cold with shivers. So amazing. I was never a huge fan of the song Beautiful World, until now. Howard gave it his all, sung it so well and it gave me shivers for the first time. I guess there's nothing like hearing a song live to make you love it.

Mark decided to give the guys his Christmas presents on stage- Jason got a CD (to which he asked why his was the smallest, making sure a little later that we knew he meant the gift and not anything else Laughing ) Howard got a duck and Gary got a cardigan (he seemed to think there was a joke that he wasn't getting- all I know was that he looked fab in the cardigan) There was a lot of talk about it being emotional as it was the last show but Howard said at one point that the band want to tour again. So the emotion went from sadness at the tour being over to excitement at plans for the future.

Hold On has always been a favourite of mine and Mark didn't disappoint in cementing it as a song that always be a favorite. I love Mark's voice and forgot how fantastic it is live. He's such a performer and he puts his all into the songs he sings. Amazing. Just amazing.

I've always had a mixed relationship with I'd Wait For Life. At one point I've loved it and then not so much- my opinion on it always changes. But not now. I'll forever love (no pun intended) this song after hearing it live. Gary's voice is one of the most powerful voices I've ever heard live and even my mom was enjoying it. I'm glad to say that she has come home a fan- she wants to go when I see them next. Mission accomplished! I had tears in my eyes at the end of the song- I loved it so much.

Relight My Fire and it's inclusion of Crazy was inspired, whoever thought of that deserves an award. It made the song so fresh and new- I'd love this on my iPod and I have no doubt that if copyright wold allow it would get to number one. Everyone around me joined in doing the relight dance and I was having so much fun. I loved being under the same roof as so many Take That fans (as well as Take That of course) The fire was so great although my mom took the time to nudge me on the arm and say 'ohmy he's on fire' I just rolled my eyes: yeh mom, it's the point of the song! haha

I can't honestly put into words how fantastic Rule The World was. When I first heard this song months back I loved it, and hearing the band sing it live was just amazing. It was my favourite song of the night, what a gem of a song and what an amazing voice Gary has - as he proves time and time again.

I am so glad that there was a B Stage. I was so close to them and I wasn't prepared for it- sorry to anyone who was stood next to someone who did a good fish impression - I stood there with my mouth open not really believing it. Could It Be Magic was fantastic. I was a Barry Manilow fan before I was a Take That (yeh i know, not something I should admit to! haha) - so I've always loved the slow version that Barry does. Maybe that's why CIBM was one of my fave songs of the night along with Rule The World. Stripped back like the original, it was fantastic. And Gary singing and playing the piano- what more could you want? It gave me chills- it was was just so perfect. I loved the way they then got the crowd to sing the classic songs, everyone knew the words and I've never heard such a deafening cheer of 'AND PARTY' in my life.

From the two times I've seen the band preciously, I know that Back For Good gets me all emotional and it did it again. The crowd were so loud as we sung along and you can tell the band loves it when a whole arena full of people sing along to their song- plus it's great for us: we got to duet with Take That Wink Laughing

When the guys said they had a special surprise for us I was hoping for Mancunian Way but we got a fab version of Jingle Bells instead- with Howard on the trumpet! Wow Howard- so many special talents. Is there nothing this band can't do? I think there should be a trumpet solo on the next album haha After Everything Changes Jason announced that they would be making their way back to the main stage through the crowd. I had an idea that Gary and Jason would be coming down the isle near where I was and got prepared. The women next to me were a little shocked that two members of their fave band would be coming so close - so while they screamed I edged a bit nearer to the isle and got ready. I think I should apologise to Gary- I had a good squeeze of his peck when he passed by. I don't know what came over me. I blame the atmosphere! Embarassed LaughingI was too busy squealing after that to try and get a hold of Jason but was calm enough to watch Howard and Mark trying to get back to the stage. Poor Mark was being pulled all ways by everyone who could get their hands on him- he's loved so much and came back to the stage with a bra, giving it to Howard who looked chuffed. Just like the old days, 'ey!

I've never been so proud of anyone as I was when Jason sung Wooden Boat. He said he was nervous and it showed only a little and though the tears that threatened to fall as he sung. To be honest, I think the shaky nervous quality that comes with Jason singing this live is what makes it so great- I don't think a perfectly polished version would have the same emotion that the song needs and it's that vulnerable quality to Jason's voice that is so fantastic and that's what makes Wooden Boat so fantastic. I'm sure Jason's family were so proud of him too- they were all in the arena to watch the show.

I absolutely loved the way Jason used the lines of Wooden Boat to move us into Give Good Feeling 'That's the time to be the first one on the dance floor floor floor....' A perfect transition into Howard DJ-ing. I want one of those hoodies! The dancing, the beat and THE crawl- wow! I never got to see the band perform this song back in the day and have only seen youtube clips, but I don't need youtube anymore- I have the memory of this 2007 live version ingrained in my mind forever. The dancing to this and then Sure were great parts of the show- my eyes were on Gary but they all were fantastic. You can't beat a bit of Take That doing what they do best- fantastic songs and fantastic dance moves: fantastic entertainment!

Never Forget was ingenious. We all know the special importance of this song: it's the one that connects the fans and the band. The screen behind the band and the treadmill was amazing. I don't even want to try and figure out how they did that- I'm sure my brain would explode. As always with this song- I took a moment to look behind me at everyone's hands in the air and it was just as beautiful as the graphics on the stage. There is nothing in the world like a huge group of people enjoying the same thing at the same moment- one big arena-sized family. Magical.

With Santa hats on they then sung Shine. It's such a feel-good song isn't it! No one can feel anything but happy when Mark sings this and the whole arena went mad for it even though most of us knew that the show was nearly over and then, after a lovely rendition of Silent Night it was time for Pray- the last song of the night. I soaked up everything for this- the singing, dancing and the atmosphere. My last drops of Take That in the last show of the tour, the one and only show I was going to see of the tour. I had thought that Pray may not have worked as a final song, but as Gary sung those final lines: I just felt that it was so complete- it rounded the show off perfectly.

And then they were gone; the lights went up and I stood staring at the empty stage for a few moments before moving from the arena. It had gone too fast. It had been so good. I wished I could go home and get another ticket for another night, but at that moment the tour was over. I walked back to my hotel going over it all in my head- trying to remember everything I could and I've no doubt missed out a few things that will come back to me later- but I do remember how mind-blowing fantastic it was. Everything from the dancers, the confetti (I have some in my bag- I just had to collect a little memento) the set, the songs, the singing and of course the band was perfect. The only bad thing about the show was that it had to end! How do they do it- they blow you away and leave you wanting more every single time!

I got exactly what I wanted for Christmas this year- thank you Take That; you were the perfect present!

---------------

I didn't take too many pics as I wanted to enjoy the show. ButI ended up taking quite a few- not all that great as I was overly excited and I was trying to zoom past those damn bunny ears all the time! Here's a few of them:

^^^^ I'm so happy with this pic of Gary! I love Gary Barlow!!!!! Very Happy
